Collaborative Initiatives for Climate Understanding

Advancing Atmospheric Research

At APARC, our activities are strategically organized under three primary themes to address critical scientific questions concerning the atmosphere’s role in climate change. These themes include Atmospheric Dynamics and Predictability, Chemistry and Climate, and Long-term Records for Climate Understanding. Each theme encompasses various focused activities, such as the Atmospheric Composition and the Asian Monsoon (ACAM), the Chemistry-Climate Model Initiative (CCMI), and the Reanalysis Intercomparison Project (A-RIP). By fostering international collaboration and integrating process studies, observations, and modeling, APARC aims to enhance our comprehension of atmospheric processes and their influence on the global climate system.
