SPARC Data Centre highlights the availability of radiosonde data
High resolution radiosonde data from US Radiosonde Replacement System (RRS) stations are now available directly from NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information. Radiosonde data at 6-second resolution from US stations prior to RRS upgrade are still available from the SPARC Data Centre.

Call for pre-proposals on climate predictability and inter-regional linkages
The 2015 International Opportunities Fund set up by Belmont Forum and JPI Climate will support medium-size research projects of 3-4 years duration and budget requirements of 1-3 million Euros. Pre-proposals are due by 1 June 2015.

Emerging SPARC activity: Solving the mystery of Carbon Tetrachloride
Led by Stefan Reimann (Empa, Switzerland), Paul Newman, and Qing Liang (both at NASA, USA), this new emerging SPARC activity will bring together science, industry, and technology experts to solve the mystery of large discrepancies in calculated emitted carbon tetrachloride, a major ozone depleting substance and GHG.
